Paint Protection Film is a skillfully applied, thin, and virtually invisible urethane paint protector that protects your vehicle's paint from damage caused by gravel, rocks, insects, bird droppings, and other corrosive elements.
Yes. Any smooth, painted surface can be covered with PPF.
You can use any standard car wash soap or detail spray to clean the film, provided that the product does not contain more than 5% Naphtha or Kerosene
Yes, but you need to wait at least 48 hours after the installation to allow the film to dry completely.
Yes, but make sure that you've waited at least 48 hours after the installation to allow the film to dry and avoid spraying the high-pressure water directly on the edges of the film.
You can wax the film, but the product you're using shouldn't contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations greater than 5%, and avoid waxes that contain dyes. We carry products that are specifically formulated for use with polyurethane Paint Protection Films to provide maximum protection and gloss without causing discoloration.
Our films are backed by a comprehensive 10-year warranty.
Yes. The process is the same as with regular paint. Just wet the surface with a lubricant, such as soapy water, and then gently rub the surface with the clay bar. For hard water stains, bird droppings, or sap, use Simple Green as the lubricant for the detailing clay.
No. There isn't much maintenance needed for most of our film products. The film can last longer and be easier to clean by treating it twice a year with a Paint Protection Film Sealant.
Yes, but the finish will look slightly different than unprotected chrome. We can apply a small swatch to the desired surface so that you can see what it looks like before making a decision.
PPF can be applied over vinyl wraps and graphics, but if there are any hard edges (such as with racing stripes), it could result in some air being trapped along the edges.
We offer some films that can be installed over headlights and fog lights.
Yes. PPF can be applied to watercraft.
It's highly unlikely, but we recommend having it professionally removed.
The self-healing clearcoat films are designed to repair themselves from swirl marks and light scratches. However, if a piece of debris has penetrated through the clearcoat, it will not self-heal. In this case, you'll want to have the piece of film replaced.
Waxes, sealants, and protectants (including ceramic coatings) are generally designed to reduce the surface energy of the paint, making them easier to clean. The reduced surface energy can decrease the film's ability to adhere properly, so we recommend applying these products after installation of the film.
Yes. There are several reasons why applying Ceramic Coating over PPF is recommended:
Moisture is a key factor of the Paint Protection Film installation procedure and can occasionally lend itself to small air or water bubbles under the film. If these bubbles are noticeable after the installation, it’s normal. The trapped moisture will evaporate in a few days and these bubbles will disappear without intervention. A re-check of your vehicle will be requested after 2-3 weeks to ensure that the film is performing as it’s supposed to.
